In order to remember your dreams you will need to recognize your dreams as they are happening and become familiar with the way your own dreams work.
Your goal should be to try and remember one dream a night.
It is said by many sleep researches that dreams are only recalled should you wake up directly from the dream, rather than waking up after you have gone into another stage of sleep.
The best thing would be to get plenty of sleep, as when you are fully rested it will be easier to get into the right mood where you will be able to push yourself back into your dreams and this will help you remember and interpret them.
If you are serious about interpreting and recalling your dreams you should keep a dream journal.
Keep it next to your bed and record every dream you remember.
No matter how small the detail or how insignificant the detail, just write it in your journal.
You have the power over your own thoughts and therefore it is recommended that as you fall asleep you remind yourself that in the morning you wish to awaken from your dreams and remember them.
It’s the same principle as remembering to wake up at a certain time in the morning. This can really help you relax and sleep deeper and wake up remembering your dreams more clearly.
One of the major causes of forgetting dreams is the interference from your other thoughts that are competing in your mind for the attention.
Therefore, when you awaken in the morning try your best to just think back and try and remember what you were dreaming about before you think about what the time is and what you need to do that day.
Once you have done this for a few moments, you should try and replay the dream in your mind a few times, don’t think about what it could mean just try and remember as many details as possible.
Try and think how you felt in the moment, what colors you saw and any images that stood out.
If you remember a certain situation try and think about what happened prior to that and then you can build a time frame in your head of the events that occurred in your dream.
Once you have a picture of what you feel you were dreaming about, then reach for your dream journal and write down it all down, Don’t forget to write in detail how you felt in the dream and any other details you remembered.
It is possible that after waking up you won’t remember very much and later in the day things that happen may cause you to think about something you dreamed about the night before, and then things will fall into place for you.
In order to understand your dreams, you should take your dream journal out every night and sit quietly and try and work out how the events you dreamed about are related to things that are currently happening in your Life.
If you felt excited maybe you have something coming up in your life that you are excited about.
If you wake up scared or frighten try and see if you are hiding something in your heart that you are scared of or maybe these feelings are feelings you are avoiding about something intimating in your life you don’t want to deal with.
We all can find a deeper understanding of who we are from our dreams; they are interesting and can really help us make decisions about things in our lives. May we all have a good night’s sleep and remember our dreams tomorrow morning!
